How long does a massage take?

The duration can be adapted to suit the patient's needs but I offer 60, 90 and 120 minute sessions.

Can I leave my clothes on?

Ideally no. A treatment requires some degree of undress pertinent to the body part being worked, underwear is left on and you are otherwise draped in towels for discretion, comfort and warmth. Either way, don't fret as I will explain what to do and leave the room whilst you, the client gets undressed and will not re-enter until you are ready, for discretion, privacy and ethics.

Can I leave my jewelry on?

No, it makes for an uncomfortable massage for both you and me.

What are "knots" in my muscles?

Muscular knots are areas in the muscle where adhesions and trigger points form. These adhesions feel like lumps/unsmooth area within the muscle tissue and are under constant constriction/spasm, never relaxing and at times trapping nerves, thus causing pain.

How often should I receive a massage?

The answer here depends on the reasons for receiving the massage. If a client comes for some injury relief or to relieve chronic tightness that is interfering with their daily lives in some way, weekly sessions may be necessary for a while to build on each session’s improvement in their relief and healing. For those who use massage as preventive care and managing the daily stress in their lives, once a month is about the norm. They may shorten the time between massages during stressful periods. Some come more often just because they enjoy it so much.
